Commercial Planning
1. Props - The commercial is about Nintendo Switch the main prop will be the Switch and the Joy-Cons. Other props will include the Nintendo Switch Lite, Nintendo Switch dock, a high speed HDMI cable, the Joy-Con grip, headphones, and the AC adapter.
2. Costumes - The commercial will include three people. The three subjects will be wearing casual everyday clothes. The outfits will most likely be t-shirts or sweatshirts, jeans and leggings, and sneakers.
3. Schedule
- 10/21/20 - Decide what I will do the commercial on and begin researching for it. Find out about conventions and common aspects of the commercial.
- 10/22/20 - Plan out the commercial and how many people I will include, how many locations, etc.
- 10/25/20 - Create storyboard so I can have an idea of the way I will film and edit the commercial.
- 10/27/20 - Film in locations 1 and 2, possibly 3.
- 10/28/20 - Film in location 3 if it was not done the previous day.
- 10/29/30 - Edit the commercial.
4. Location List - The main location will be the living room of my house. Here, I will film the Nintendo Switch in console mode. I will aslo film the scene with all three subjects playing the same game. The three actors will be shown having fun and enjoying the game on the TV screen. The second location would be inside a car. Here I will show how the Switch can become handheld and be played on the go. The third location will be my sisters house. Here I will show the third mode of the Switch which is still handheld but with the Joy-Cons removed.
5. Backup Plan - If I am unable to make it to my sisters house, I will shoot the third mode in my front entrance living room. This would provide a space with no TV and a table perfect for the third mode of the Nintendo which is the handheld with the Joy-Cons removed. Also if there is no car available we will shoot in the backyard. This will still provide the aspect that we are on the go. Perfect to show off the handheld mode.
