Filming at the Park

I decided to film at the park first because I had the most scenes there. I took all of the outfits that I would need for the different scenes. My mom and one of my friends went with me to the park to help me film. Unfortunately, the park that I had originally planned to film at had been closed due to the pandemic. I searched many different parks and finally found one that was open. However, there were no traditional monkey bars, which were needed for one of my scenes so I had to improvise. The first things I shot were the opening scenes. I was dressed in a childish outfit, wearing jean shorts and a colorful t-shirt. First, I filmed on the swings, I positioned my friend and told them the angle that I wanted the shot and then I sat on the swing and we proceeded to film. We shot from two different angles to have a different backgrounds and lightings. Then, we shot on the monkey bars. Once again I instructed my friend on how I wanted the scene to look and we also shot from two different angles. The slide scenes were next; just going down the slide was too short of a shot so we changed the angle of the shot and had me go up the to the slide and then slide down. This scene was the hardest to film because of the length of the slide. It was too small, so the scene was too short to be even considered. Finally, we shot my mom and I leaving the park. I positioned my friend and  instructed my mom on what she had to do. This was the easiest scene since all we were doing was walking away from the park.

After a quick outfit change, we filmed the final scenes at the park. These shots go at the music video. My outfit was now one of a teenager: jeans, a black shirt, and a sweater, with slip on shoes. Only two more scenes were filmed in this outfit. First, we filmed walking into the park alone. This scene parallels the one of me walking out with my mom at the start of the video. Once again, this was easy to film and only took three takes. We left the park and realized that I had forgotten about the final scene. My mom and I went back and filmed the final shot of the music video, which is me sitting down at the swings from the start of the music video. The lighting in this shot is different due to me forgetting to film the shot when we were at the park earlier in the day. While editing however I will be able to fix any lighting differences.
