My Music Video
The music video was the second project that I worked on alone. This time around, I knew a lot more about editing and filming. Also, now that I had a bigger time frame and more scenes I was able to be even more creative. Even though, I had more experience with editing, I still ran into a few problems. Especially with creating specific filters for each part of my music video.
This being my second project, I think my work improved a lot. I am very pleased with how the music video turned out. However, I do know that there is still room for improvement. Looking back at the video, I could have created a more noticable difference between the filters. I could have used different transitions as well. I would have also liked the car scenes to have a different lighting, since the current one is not the idea I had in mind originally. Apart from that, I think you can see the growth of my editing skills within my music video.
Although I used my knowledge from my previous projects, I still learned a few things from this experience. I was able to tell a story without using any words, just visuals. It was difficult to find a song that I could do this with but researching the many genres helped me with that. I also was able to direct my family and friends as to how I wanted the scene filmed. In the last project, I did most of the filming since the focus was a product, but now that I was in every shot, I had to direct others. It was a big learning experience for me. Sometimes it's hard to put ideas from your head to paper. My family and friends were very helpful and I am very happy with the results.
