Starting the Final Task

Hello again, my name is Raquel Lopez. I am in 11th grade at Fort Lauderdale High School, in Florida. I love reading fantasy books and anime. When I first heard of the final task my mind immediately thought of doing something fantasy related. As I learned more about the fantasy genre and what it would require I reconsidered. I decided to not include fantasy as one of my options. . This led to my decision of finding a new genre and other people to work on this with. For the final task I decided to work with three other people: Hannah Ezammudeen, Judith Reyes, and Jocelyn Colon. I thought it was a good idea to work in a group this time around. I realized the final task involved a lot of creativity and originality. Although, I do think I am creative I thought it was best to join a group. This way my creativity and theirs were maximized. I did not know what genre I wanted to focus on for the task now. I knew that fantasy would be quite difficult since special effects would be needed to be used for that. Comedy was never an option for me since filming an opening scene for that would be hard to pull off. One of my group members, Hannah, mentioned mystery and thrillers, and I thought it was a great idea. Being a book fanatic I have read many books on mysteries that I have thoroughly enjoyed. I also thought back to my love of Sherlock, Doctor Who, and Star Wars which have a lot of mystery in them. Our ideas flowed well together and we were able to pick a genre. Settling on the genre we wanted was very easy and it reminded me of why I decided to work with a group.
