Filming At My House

Prior to spring break, my group mates came over to my house to film the rest of the opening sequence. We had already filmed the middle portion of the sequence at the park so all that was left was the beginning and end. My group mate, Hannah, arrived at my house first and the rest of our group had not arrived yet. As we waited, we decided to film some scenes. Since I am portraying Jane, there were some scenes of her alone, so Hannah and I filmed those. We used my bedroom and my front lawn to film the scenes that I was in alone. Once the rest of the members arrived we filmed the scenes the mother was in. The mother was being portrayed by Jocelyn and she also had scenes alone so we began with those. One of those scenes involved sharpening knives so we had our safety team watching in case of emergencies. Thankfully everything went smoothly and we were able to continue filming.

Then, we filmed the scenes that involved Jocelyn and I. Most of these scenes were in the kitchen. It took us around 30 minutes to film this part since we did not like the original dialogue we had written. We changed the script a couple times and finally settled on one. Once, we had that decided our filming ran smoothly. We moved on to the final scenes which had three of us in the scene. We also changed some things for these scenes as they were set in my living room. The lighting was not in our favor so the angles of the camera were changed in order for us to be seen clearly. Unfortunately, we were not able to finish filming because one of our group mates had an emergency. She had also driven our other group mate so everyone ended up leaving. This set us back a bit since we were not going to be able to film for two weeks after we met.
